During Federcasse’s Annual Assembly on July 18 at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, a video message from the President of the European Parliament, Hon. Roberta Metsola, was screened.
The full text of the message follows:

“Dear Federcasse President, ladies and gentlemen,
Federcasse represents a concrete example of how, by working together, Europe can be a space where people unite to address common challenges and improve our shared home.
Europe is not just a geographical reality. It is the promise of a community that overcomes isolation.
The European Parliament is working to make this vision a reality.
By bringing Europe closer to the citizens we represent. And by creating a favorable environment for businesses in Italy and throughout the Union, also thanks to our Agenda for Regulatory Simplification.
Furthermore, we continue to call for a Banking Union for Europe because our banks must be able to grow to finance our projects and priorities.
But we cannot carry out this mission alone. And that’s where you come in.
You can be proud that your Federation is helping to concretely improve people’s lives, supporting businesses and communities and giving citizens the tools to be protagonists of their own future.
This is the Europe we want to build: close. Concrete. Solidarity.
Today’s assembly represents a precious opportunity to reflect on the progress already made and to look to the road ahead.
I know that your action is also a barrier against marginalization and a driver of inclusion.
The results you have shared, from your extraordinary territorial presence to your ability to support local economies even in the most difficult times, testify to the strength of a model that combines economic efficiency and social responsibility. It is a precious example of how cooperation can be a driver of inclusive and lasting development.
The Federation will build on these results, continuing to strengthen local economies. All this, without ever losing sight of investments in social cohesion and social security.
Know that whatever the challenges ahead, the European Parliament is at your side. Because, as you demonstrate every day, together we can achieve much more. Thank you”.
